In the 1970's as Rolex was just transitioning its dress watches to be sold under the Cellini moniker, in the midst of their high output of utilitarian Oyster sports watches, Rolex also made much more elegant dress watches. These fine wristwatches often combine a superior hand-wound mechanism with beautiful aesthetics.

It is one the last mens dress watches sold under the Precision label. It features very fine and dramatic styling with a striking gray vignette dial and a well-executed handwound movement.

It is large size for the era - measuring approx. 37mm in diameter without the crown - even slightly larger than a mens Rolex Datejust.

It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. With the exception of the full diamond bezel, and the lugs which have previously been added by a jeweler in order to accomodate the diamond bezel, the rest of the watch is fully Rolex down to the original crown.

It presents in gorgeous restored condition. Its case presents as mint. Its original Rolex dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as Rolex factory done to the naked eye.

Its movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is very clean and running exceptionally strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Rolex in our testing position.
